OCC Oracle Family Emergency Fund
The OCC is acutely aware of the struggle many of the members of our community are facing during this time. We have families with children who are unable to put food on the table, and seniors who cannot purchase their medications. In response to this need we are starting the Oracle Family Emergency Fund, and already have members donating their stimulus checks to get it started!

The criteria for receiving assistance through OCC's Oracle Family Emergency Fund is as follows:
The Oracle Community Center is a recognized 501(c)3 non-profit organization. The Oracle Family Emergency Fund is replenished through specifically designated donations and/or fundraisers held on behalf of the fund. The anonymity of those applying or referred for the fund is guaranteed; however, those involved in the process of fund allocation will be aware of some private information. This fund is non-denominational and non-political, meant to serve those in need, and every effort will be made to reach out to as many people in need as possible and as far as the donated resources can be distributed. The OCC Oracle Family Emergency Fund Committee reserves the right to refuse assistance to anyone who provides fraudulent information. The OCC Oracle Family Emergency Fund Committee) reserves the right to modify eligibility criteria and to terminate the OCC ORACLE FAMILY EMERGENCY FUND at any time.
EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
The recipient must be a resident living within the 85623 zip code. The applicant must be the recipient, spouse, children, mother or father, sibling, or legal guardian of the recipient. A referral may be placed through the school system, a church, or other non-profit aware of the need.
Emergency Fund allocations will be determined on a case by case basis, as requested by the applicant, but will not exceed $400.
Sample of Expenses Eligible for Payment
∙ Housing expenses (mortgage, rent, repairs, insurance)
∙ Vehicle expenses (payments, insurance, repairs)
∙ Utilities and primary phone
∙ Food and incidentals
∙ Children’s clothing, diapers, formula, necessary school or childcare expenses
∙ Medical bills, prescriptions and eyeglasses. (the patient’s portion for necessary or emergency medical care only)
∙ Commercial transportation, funeral or burial expenses
Sample of Ineligible Expenses
∙ Credit cards or retail store cards
∙ Personal, student, and payday loans
∙ Negative bank accounts, overdraft fees and charges, etc.
∙ Investigational or cosmetic medical procedures and expenses
∙ Taxes (federal, state, local, personal property or real estate)
∙ Child support, alimony or legal expenses
∙ Debt owed to a friend or family member
∙ Furniture, electronic equipment or vehicle rentals
∙ Down payments on homes or vehicles
∙ Reimbursements for items already paid for
